One of our most memorable projects. The task was to supply everything required for furnishing a 600m2 house from – China. We spent 12 days there. Every day from dawn to dusk we went shopping to various and numerous stores of the Foshan city, selecting, ordering, paying for the decorative materials, tiles, plumbing fixtures, lamps, doors, floor covering, kitchen cabinetry and other furniture for our already drawn-up project. Frankly, that was hard. The Chinese market is not a good place to search for decorations in classic style, and many things in the original design had to be rearranged in the course of buying, and on the twelfth day we felt as if we’d been born and raised in China and never lived anywhere else. Yet it was unusual and exciting and we gained some invaluable experience on the way, and the client ended up signing under a much more comfortable sum than that which would have been required of him had he ordered everything from Italy or Germany.
