At the very beginning the task was to transform the five-room communal apartment in the city centre into a two-room apartment including an enormous kitchen-living room and a small bedroom with a bathroom. The clients lived in their principal home nearby, and this apartment was intended for hosting parties. A fashionable salon with a grand piano, a fireplace, a projection screen, a huge table more than three metres long and quite a number of seats. Half of the photos were taken when the apartment was sold 17 years later. The client took away only the grand piano, leaving everything else in place. For every designer and architect it is a great happiness to see the client being so careful with the interior. When you beheld your designs in such condition after 17 years’ use, the natural wish to work, create and bring joy becomes even stronger!
