The design of this apartment was our gift for the beloved nanny of the children of one of the authors of the project. We had a difficult time, for the budget was very limited, tighter even than the one spent on an average studio apartment in a new building. On the plus side, we had a permission from the client, who had complete faith in the designers, to do anything we liked as far as it was unusual and pretty and fit in the budget. There are two ways to create a beautiful interior – use expensive materials, furniture and d?cor, or set to work one’s crazy imagination. The mistress of the apartment is still happy with the result, even though the ones she had once taken care of had long come of age.
