This apartment is a special subject of pride for us. It all began with a rather uncomplimentary, unoriginal and dull layout and the client’s warm wish of improving the situation with some unusual thought. The thought we came up with was to swap the living room and the children’s room, which allowed us to adjoin the ridiculous corridor to the living room. Some bold decisions like combining classical plasterwork, huge picture banners on the walls and rough concrete – and we got an apartment that won the first place in one of the most prestigious architectural competitions. A special subject of pride indeed.
