The Art of Surprising

This apartment helped us to answer many questions. Firstly, is it safe to use bright colours in the interior? Will they not grow boring? Will they not go out of fashion? At present, the interior is more than ten years old, and has a lot of red in it. To us, it does not look old-fashioned, and we still think that the well-loved-light-beige would have definitely spoiled it. Therefore – when you want bright colours, use bright colours. Even if they do go out of fashion, the good mood they put you in would remain. Secondly, is it a good solution to unite bedrooms with bathrooms, or is this advisable only in hotels? On one hand, there are several pluses. The room becomes more spacious, the bathroom gains the advantage of daylight and assumes a more refined atmosphere, requiring a lot of cautiousness in the choice of plumbing fixtures and accessories. On the other hand, it is a severe blow upon privacy, and many problems concerning sound, light, night, smells and even image arise. I cannot give a decisive answer here. A lot depends on the masters of the apartment. If their daily routines are similar, than a definite yes. We excluded the sounds and the smells with the help of a high quality glass partition and a good ventilation filter. The image was removed by revolving wooden lamellas between the shower toilet and the other part of the room.
